Listing guide for hosts

We recommend reading through this the first time you create a listing. You can always come back and adjust later.

Photos that showcase your accommodation

You need at least 3 photos to publish. The recommended number is 8–15 photos to give a clear overall picture.

Choose a strong main photo

  • The main photo appears in listings and determines the first impression.
  • Choose an inviting overview photo, not a detail shot.
  • Think living room, bedroom, or a nice view.

Light and quality

  • Photograph in natural daylight.
  • Open curtains and turn on lights if needed.
  • Avoid dark, blurry, or over-edited photos.
  • Preferably take photos in landscape format.

What should be shown?

  • Living room and common areas
  • Each bedroom
  • Kitchen and bathroom
  • Outdoor area, view, or special features
  • UKA Pain-specific details like ski storage or other equipment

Prepare the accommodation

  • Make the beds, clean, and tidy away personal items.
  • Avoid dishes, cables, toiletries, and cluttered surfaces.
  • Photograph with open doors between rooms for a more spacious feel.

Photo order

  1. Main photo (best overview shot).
  2. Living room and larger common areas.
  3. Bedrooms.
  4. Kitchen and bathroom.
  5. Extra features and view.

Practical tips for step 4

Choose the right main photo

The main photo should quickly show the whole picture. Avoid detail shots as the first photo.

Photo order

Arrange photos in logical order: overview first, then rooms and details.

Avoid misleading photos

Only show areas the guest actually has access to. This reduces the risk of wrong expectations and support questions.
